10-30-24, the Washington Post penned the article: "Majority of swing-state voters say they fear violence if Trump loses", and on that date the Enlighten Prisoner responded thus:

Absolutely worthless journalism. It's almost as if the story writers are looking to encourage dissatisfied people to find physical expression for their frustration. This type of violence is strictly a problem for local law enforcement and these writers are trying to make it into a cause for national response.

They just don't get it. Maybe you writers need to just read the frustration expressed in the comments and get a clue?

On 10-29-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "White House, Trump campaign clash over whether Biden called Trump supporters ‘garbage’", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

I cannot believe I've just read that the news media is so desperate to start divisive behavior among the politicized they're forcing them to choose sides over a he said, she said incident. I mean, how much faith can you put into print media when they nit-pik for valueless entertainment.

On 10-25-24, the Washington Post penned an Op-Ed Opinion by Jeff Bezos, Washington Post Owner that: "The hard truth: Americans don’t trust the news media", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

News media trust and reputation on the ropes Mr. Bezos? Didn't really start until accumulated media venues became the new toys of billionaires and wealth management groups, did it?

On 10-28-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Post editorial board members step down in wake of endorsement decision", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Be afraid that so many of the financially elite are using their wealth to putter with actions to create a controlling base for governmental influence. The upshot is they're finding the best useful idiots in the conservative Republican corral. And it isn't just with the office of an Executive Branch Administrator. They've extended that wealth puttering to a significant portion of the Legislative Branch and we're already aware of their inroads with the Judicial Branch.

Seems the financial elite have found there's so much more productive influence in putting payoffs in the hands of government's controllers than those past days of arranging under the table payoffs to career bound bureaucrats.

On 10-28-24, the Washington Post penned a Column for "Another night at the Garden: How Trump’s rally echoed one in 1939", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

As I scroll through news articles on the Madison Square Garden event, I can't help but be embarrassed for those who have spent their political association years with the Republican Party. Those crude and insensitive statements made at the event against everything and everyone who's "not like us" are harbingers.

This political party's label has been reduced to representing thuggery induced fear for something that only exists in the narrow minds of the Trump support base and doesn't pass the test for the reality of our country's truthful condition.

Such utter nonsense being used to incite can only be attributed to disparaging claptrap intended to support a non-political party's desire for taking control of our country to rule it in support of their self-interests.  Not to improve conditions for its occupants.

And I can't help but be concerned that Trump's hidden agenda is to reverse the emerging trend for the increased evidence that his past criminal conduct is due for reckoning.

      On 10-26-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Elon Musk, enemy of ‘open borders,’ launched his career working illegally", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus;

And so, it is. Like his apparent political plaything Trump, Elon Musk is also one who takes advantage of our country's rules and disregards those standing in the way of personal ambition.

Following rules made for level playing fields in the commercial and financial landscape are just for dopes it seems. Neither Trump nor Musk have made their fortunes without breaking the rules, and in Trump's case being a convicted Felon for outright white-collar criminal fraud, (and only a date for sentencing remains).

Alas, not content with their ill-begotten wealth, they invade the political scene to create further chaos to promote more, (or less), rules to legitimize their scheming platform and obtain the governmental resources to absolve their trail of malfeasance. Sad indeed they seem to also impress a significant portion of our electorate who seem immune to being led astray. Sad indeed.

On 10-24-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump says he’d fire special counsel Jack Smith in ‘two seconds’ if elected again", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Trump's thoughts and words in speeches of how to deal with the problems he creates are reflections on his highly insecure and unhinged persona. And it is that highly undeveloped ability for applying mental reason and rational to problem solving that makes him unfit for the complexities of governing others.  A fact that is being actively stated by former members of his presidential advisor team.

Unqualified in so many ways but with a showman's capacity for attracting attention and projecting an allusion of confidence is evidenced in his long list of continuous business failures. And don't forget his absolute lack of care and concern for others while accepting no accountability for his own mistakes.  His disrespect for truthful response is a warning sign as is his constant habit of referring to opponents in demonized terms.  Still, above all those negativities is his public persona of crass behavior and lack of the sophisticated demeanor expected from one who would define our country. A pick for our country's leadership deserves better.

On 1020-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "The CIA analyst who triggered Trump’s first impeachment asks: Was it worth it?", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"Working from his CIA desk and his home, the analyst pored over reports from obscure U.S. and Ukrainian news outlets. He consulted with a handful of colleagues who had begun to share his concerns and sketched out wire diagrams to figure out how all the players and scraps of information were connected." (Quoted from the article.)
And yet, a sizeable portion of political affiliates and the country's electorate chose to believe the statements of Trump innocence without seeing or hearing one shred of evidence provided, (beyond statements), that would prove to be an exculpate of guilt. Did I miss the most important point here, anyone?

A sad testimony indeed to our diminishing concern for the forthright integrity of our elected. Sad indeed.

On 10-18-24, the Washington Post penned the article: "Trump hotel overcharged Secret Service, report by House Democrats finds", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The authors of the report, which is based on Trump International Hotel room records from September 2017 and August 2018, argue that Trump violated the Constitution’s foreign and domestic emoluments clauses, which were designed to prevent the president and other federal officials from enriching themselves at taxpayer expense.
Of course, this would be grounds for impeachment if we had an impartial Congress with any sense of integrity left, but we don't. So why can't it be a Biden legacy that he immediately orders the Department of Justice to gather evidence and present it to a federal Grand Jury for consideration of indictment?

On 10-16-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Project 2025 ex-director condemns Heritage president’s ‘violent rhetoric’", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"Roberts (the Heritage Foundation President), called for “a political revolution” to “overthrow today’s incarnation of the ruling class,” argued that the nation “must be destroyed and replaced,” and supported the elimination of institutions including the Ivy League, the FBI, Fairfax County (Va.) Public Schools and the Boy Scouts." (Quoted the article.)
Gosh, I don't know why we're giving newsprint to someone who's crazy enough to say things I can't ever take seriously. That reads like something I'd expect to see a fake Hitler in a Mad Magazine story saying to a Women's Garden Club after downing a cup of laced tea.

On 10-16-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump can be charged with obstruction after high court ruling, filing says", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus: Trump can be charged with obstruction after high court ruling, filing says

Trump did, ...“willfully caused his supporters to obstruct and attempt to obstruct the proceeding by summoning them to Washington, D.C., and then directing them to march to the Capitol to pressure the Vice President and legislators to reject the legitimate certificates and instead rely on the fraudulent electoral certificates.” (This is a quote from the article.)
I have no problem accepting this statement as fact because I was seeing these very statements and actions happen as they were presented by national news broadcasts.

Now I'm a competent witness and a US Citizen and would answer a subpoena to testify that Donald Trump, (in his capacity as a defeated presidential candidate), did attempt to overthrow the government's elected candidate for President in actions that were illegal and were committed when he had no official capacity nor lawful authority for such actions. So help me God!

Damn, as a US Military Veteran, I really feel like that's doing more to defend the Country of my Birth than those 4 years of duty.

On 10-8-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump secretly sent covid tests to Putin during 2020 shortage, new book says", (in book written by Bob Woodard), and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The Muller report offered the ideal evidence to convict Trump of impeachment for using a foreign country's resources to assist in his Presidential campaign. The US Senate failed its obligation to the American electorate and choose to act as a partisan whitewash. Sad.

On 10-3-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion that: "I’ve written many dark and stormy columns on free speech. Not this one."  A quote from the article is shown below:

In September, the new president of Stanford University, which last year saw a conservative speaker shouted down, gave a speech in which he declared that “the university’s purpose is not political action or social justice. It is to create an environment in which learning thrives.”

On 10-3-24, the Washington Post penned an Analysis of: "5 takeaways from the big new filing on Trump’s 2020 election plot", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The release of the details in the filing are appreciated. The continuous diatribe of professed innocence by Trump and the mouths of MAGA minions are so tiring because they never touch on evidence of innocence, just blather.  And not surprising, the Trump and MAGA responses to this story totally lack any offerings to the indictment's stated evidence.

I understand the need for decorum and protection of accused rights by statements bordering on evidence made outside the courtroom prior to trial, but the media's obsession with allowing itself to be taken in by mere bloviate utterances is hardly newsworthy.

And in the case of Trump, nothing he ever says is worth newsprint. But then, the news media has always shown a tendency to be slow learners when it comes to the responsibility of "only the news fit to print".
