On 8-24-24, the Washington Post penned a Column for: "There’s a reason Adam Kinzinger defended Democrats’ patriotism", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Loving a country is not about being a member of a political party or supporting a governing body. It's showing a faith for being a member of the community of family, friends and neighbors by giving them respect, support and doing those things necessary for the communities' safety, security, beautification, and financial support.

Many of our world's countries have experienced large numbers of displaced people, called immigrants. Why? Because the governments of their countries of birth or occupation have imploded on the rights or privileges of their citizens to maintain their standards of community.

Those rouge governments have claimed the powers and resources of the country for their own use and benefit. And have created a police state of selfishness and control from being accountable for their actions. And if you don't think that doesn't describe the political actions of the radical MAGAs operating under the Republican flag, think again. If you're still not sure, maybe you need to read and study "Project 2025". It's about forsaking the justice and dignity of our Constitutional government.

On 8-29-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion: " A new indictment points to Trump’s illegal acts — and justices’ errors", and on the date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

If the Supreme Court is putting the office of President in some type of Imperial status with a given right to rule with impunity, consider this.

George Washington was a delegate that signed the states approved Constitution of the United States. The Constitution was then used as the vehicle to elect Washington its first President of those Constituted United States.

Yet Washington felt his election was a directed mandate of his role in gaining our independence from the United Kingdom and warned that he was not comfortable with the governing power those who elected him assumed he would use. Recall that his election was composed of white male landowners, (there are no records of votes in that election attributed to all those granted citizenship by the Constitution).

Washington was convinced his Presidential role was to act as the Public Servant and administer a government that served the interests of those it governed. For our present occupants who occupy those hallowed positions of our ultimate court of appeal for governmental operations to think Presidential power needs unlimited abilities to act flies in the face of our basic governmental premise, "We the People." And that also speaks to those elected representatives who occupy the "People's House" of governmental responsibility.

On 8-27-24, the Washington Post penned the article: "Jesse Watters addresses backlash over provocative Kamala Harris punditry", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

“She’s going to get paralyzed in the Situation Room while the generals have their way with her.” (Said the cute little Fox News host Jesse Watters, according to the article.)

If Watters was looking for a classic example of Situation Room malfeasance, he need look no further than George Stephanopoulos' new book, Situation Room. The book notes that during his Presidential tour, Trump was afraid to even enter the Situation Room because it was filled with professional people (men and women) who research, evaluate and advise White House staff on the nature of America affecting events. Their analysis is given in real information format and none of the staff is infected with a "Yes Man" persona. And none of them are Generals!

Trump has no ear or mind set on how to deal with potent advice. He must be natured with spoons of praising syrup in "maybe we should" tones. And even today former professional staff members still relate how his immature spoiled brat demeanor contributed to so much decisional incompetence.

On 8-27-24, the Washington Post penned the article: "New indictment filed against Trump in federal Jan. 6 case", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

These criminal indictments for Trump are not a rehash. They are new Grand Jury issued accusations of crimes against Trump (and others) representing material acts by actors who conspired and designed an attempt to interfere in a Constitutionally legal process of Presidential election. They are detailed facts and circumstances set out, reviewed by Grand Jury process, who then determines that sufficient cause exists for arrest and trial.

Trump would have you believe it's something made up to make him look bad, but truth is, a country he is a citizen of just told him stand by and stand tall. You have committed acts that our country's laws say are illegal conduct and you must prove an accountability of innocence. Good luck you piece of ________!

On 8-23-24, the Washington Post penned the article that: "Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says he is suspending his campaign and endorsing Trump", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

That's great, two addled-brained MAGA kooks running for the highest office in the land combine for political strength, and they can't even get an endorsement from their own families. Yet they pretend (emphasis added) to have the ability to govern our families?

Obviously, the Founding Father's Constitutional perquisite for Presidential qualification could use a little legislative work, ya' think? Of course, they at least had the foresight to avoid a gender qualification, so at least we've still got an election Plan B.

On 8-23-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion for: "Did Kamala Harris meet the moment?", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

This really was a collection of Journalist comments that are worth consideration. Usually, I'm put off by their supercilious attempts to tell you their version of what you heard is better than, well, what you heard. But this collection was more spontaneous and freer of their usual vexatious content.

Still, the point they continue to miss is that Trump's Republican Convention endorsees were overwhelming those who came from his payroll cadre whereas the Harris Democratic Convention endorsees were folks who had the credentials of Governance experience necessary to offer professional appraisal.

And that is the box Trump was put in that's inescapable.

On 8-23-24, the Washington Post penned an article on: "Trump deflects, misleads in real-time reaction to Harris speech", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"While Harris’s speech was in many ways a traditional convention address, Trump’s unorthodox reaction (instantaneous to her speech by posts to his Truth Social Network), to it underlined his harsh, visceral style of politics and suggested the former president was glued to Harris’s speech as it unfolded." (Said the article)

Whoa, Trump feels the pressure of being put in a well-wrapped box and is using his usual irascible and supercilious trash-talking style to again demonstrate the man has no redeeming values of Presidential conduct nor behavior.

On 8-19-24, the Washington Post penned the article: "House GOP accuses Biden of impeachable conduct with no direct evidence", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), the ranking minority-party member of the Oversight Committee, blasses” that “does not contain evidence or even articulation of a single impeachable offense.”
ted the report on Monday as “old lies and propaganda” designed for “political purpo

Representative Raskin should know. He presented to the Senate the evidence-laced indictment for Trump's Impeachment only to see the Republican stacked Senate pass on hearing the evidence and allow the corrupt and incompetent term of Trump continue by voting their unconscionable party's mind set.

On 8-17-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Republicans flood TV with misleading ads about immigration, border", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Taken in its whole, the Republican party has become our biggest example for defining American based propaganda. And yet they remain a political force in our constituted government that seems to contribute the greatest amount of obstructionism to the mission of government. Doing what benefits those it serves.

On 8-15-24, the Enlightened Prisoner posted a comment:

How can you not realize that Trump's campaign style is absolutely and completely weird because it is total gibberish.

Really, have you heard anything that is reasoned, or of plans which were rationally thought out? No, and the inconvenient truth is that Trump is mentally impaired and acting out in aberrant behavior.

On 8-15-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump adds five new staffers, including Corey Lewandowski", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

(In this article, Trump says) (He) doesn’t need to change his own style or strategy, telling reporters that he is “entitled to personal attacks” on Vice President Kamala Harris.

But but all he does is attack. He avoids speaking directly to questions about his own qualifications concerning health, education, or sordid lifestyle. So, that's his strategy, to hide the side of him that would qualify his Presidential credentials?

What kind of people would support such a jerk? If that isn't an example of weird campaigning, then we're on the spot for taking a chance by playing Russian roulette with a fully loaded revolver.

On 8-8-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump to hold news conference as he looks to grab attention back from Harris", and the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Our former President, current convicted Felon, and notoriously self-centered ner-do-well, (that means lazy and irresponsible), will as usual show up to bluster, brag and lie, then walk off without taking any serious questions about accountability for what he says or does. Did I miss anything about his constant public relations plan?

On 8-5-24, the Washington Post penned the Opinion: "Does Trump even want to win?", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

I believe the FBI is charged with investigation and prosecution of internal threats to our federal government. I believe every State Constitution also provides for investigation and prosecution of any threats that violate their constituted governments.

I believe that their various legal departments had best research and prepare advance warnings of the consequences to those who would incite or take actions that would interfere with any state or federal voting process now.

I believe the January 6th insurrection is warning enough that an element of our society has expressed an irresponsible attitude for voting that does not go the way they desire and would express irrational and aberrant behavior instead of accepting a national consensus.

Let's be better prepared this time instead of the chaotic abandonment of effective police action last time which has resulted in so much investigation and courtroom preparation expense.

On 8-3-24, the Washington Post penned an Analysis that: "Senate Republicans forgot Trump’s recklessness. It’s back to haunt them."  And on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

And lest we forget, Trump's acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention droned on for 92 minutes of self-pity, (the longest acceptance speech in national convention history), and proved only that Trump will always be Trump.

Trump has little hope or chance of finding the mentality or the work energy necessary for presidential challenges. Hell, his former aides have already told us he's incapable of the reading or hearing comprehension of analysis reports that are necessary for rational and reasoned judgement.

On 7-31-24, the Enlightened Prisoner made the following response to a Washington Post article's comment.

"It is said that if someone is able to make you believe the absurd, they can make you believe anything. And Trump is as absurd as they come."
