On 6-6-24, the Washington Post penned an Analysis that: "Judge Aileen Cannon tosses another curveball in the Trump cases", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:
The US Senate has a Judiciary Committee, and its chairman is Democratic Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois. When the GOP had its Senate majority (during Trump's incompetent administration) the committee was responsible for putting in place the many Federalists picked judges, for both the Supreme Court and lesser federal judicial positions.
Now we're subject to almost daily examples of the federal judiciary conducting business in a way that borders on political extremism and ethical misconduct. Yet the check and balance system for protecting this most sacred part of our unelected authority for the Constitutional administration of federal government has taken the appearance of being bench sitters. Why?
Fear of controversy? Too entrenched for the power benefits of reelection? Afraid of Trump and the cult's bully tactics? Or (D), all of the above? Or, better yet, let's just stall until we find out which way the election winds blow?
Yep, I'm a member of the electorate and I'm damned unhappy and embarrassed by the character, (or lack thereof), of certain elected (and appointed) members of government's current civil servants. It almost takes the appearance of there being a 5th Column at work. After all, the January 6th Insurrection couldn't have happened without thought and planning.
