On 1-8-24, in a comment response to a commenter in the Seattle Times, the Enlightened Prisoner said:

"When you hear a politician state there is no solution, they're only expressing a (personal) lack of knowledge for providing a solution."

On 2-23-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion by Jennifer Rubin, "Midterm voters rejected MAGA chaos. So the GOP doubled down on crazy", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Since entering the world of political activism, Donald Trump has done little but infect us with a critical suspicion of how the government operates. Yet, in the four years of his administration, the first two with a healthy cadre of Republican legislators, he demonstrated an absolute inability to affect little but a conscious regard for his self-worth. He is, and has always been, a braggard of crass personality and scant intellectual reasoning for improving a government that serves those who provide government's revenue.  He only serves the improvement of his financial wealth and personal statue.  How much measure do you afford a man who winks at our enemies and treats fellow citizens as enemies of the state he claims to serve.

But hey, he was certainly active in using the office as a conduit to improve his reputation and feed the bottom line of his personal financial interests. In short, we have been had by a political hack whose only business success was a TV show that demonstrated how to belittle others. His failure in all other businesses is only exceeded by demonstrating his inexperienced leadership for the conduct of our government.

I say to you, abide no man who puts your loyalty before his ability to earn your trust, especially this one.

On 2-19-23, the Washington Post penned an Opinion | "Why not pay teachers $100,000 a year?", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Alright, let's say it again. Most everything I needed to know about being a responsible citizen of this country seemed to have been afforded me in the first 12 years of my educational career.

The next few years in higher education were only relevant to my career aspirations and competition with my work- place peers for the politics of enhanced positioning and financial greed.

Yet those in the responsible citizen category for teaching must bite the bullet for compensation? And their institutions of learning have become soft targets for the emotionally unfit citizens. Excuse me politicians, are you listening?

On 2-3-24, the Washington Post penned the article: "U.S. strikes in Syria and Iraq kill dozens of militants", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The United States funds the largest military presence in the world and occupies more international locations than any other of our world's counties in order to contain or deter the aggressive intents of totalitarian governments. Those governments who have purposely designed programs to create chaos that inflame and instill fear for expanding their power and silly gains of false prestige or occupation of lands that abhor their agenda.

So, if you insist on trying to poke an aggressive incursion at that presence in a cheap and cowardly way, be prepared to suffer the consequences. Your empty statements of blame for your bloodied nose are little but the rants of the cowardly fleas you are. Ours is a long history of dealing with the criminal intents of your kind. Be warned you cowardly fleas.

On 2-2-24, the Seattle Post's Danny Westneat penned: ‘A cost on simply existing’: How political tension is rising in WA, and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The price of being a reasonable and prudent person in today's political society has the potential of being targeted by either side. Usually without the opportunity of hearing. And certainly, receives no attention from the media.

But we're out here, and ready to vote.

On 1-2-24, the Washington Post penned the article: "Inflation has fallen. Why are groceries still so expensive?", and on that date the Enlighted Prisoner responded thus:

If the price increases of food products have external reasons, then how do you explain that major grocery chains have such huge, accumulated cash reserves that they use to actively seek the continuing buy outs of competitors? Just look at the Kroger record of past and present acquisitions. Just as the transportation and fuel industries has done to keep their artificially high rates contributing to the end result of higher consumer pricing.

Despite their comfy paid advertisement campaigns, corporate entities are still in a pernicious relationship with their customers and are not willing to admit their pricing strategies are mostly based on whatever they can tap from the market. Don't even get me started on those same factors that control the real estate and rental housing industries.

On 2-2-24, the Washington Post penned the article: "Trump ally emerges from shadows to deal blow to Ga. case against former president", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

My Gawd, just look at what type people are attracted by the power of politics. As an honest and ethical nation, we're in deep do-do just because of our home-grown cadre of "strap-hangers".
