On 12-21-24, the Washington Post penned an article that, "Senate Democrats find many ethical lapses by Supreme Court Justices", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

“For decades, the Judicial Conference has failed to adequately perform financial disclosure reviews, conduct investigations, and respond appropriately to ethical misconduct complaints against the justices,” the committee Democrats wrote.

This statement appears fact-based and is without doubt, most disturbing. If this "Conference" is indeed a Tax-supported entity with a mandate that ensures ethical performance by those charged with final interpretations for the Constitution's intent and purpose, then they must protect the "Publics" interest for this judgmental body. After all, the public has no voting recourse control after their life-long appointment.

This implies that I, as a citizen, have a serious flaw in those who mandate my governance. And it matters not what political party affiliate has rung the alarm bell.

On 12-19-24, the Washington Post penned that the Supreme Court of Montana had ruled by a 6-1 margin that the youth group was correct to challenge the State's Constitution for not providing for the environmental safety of its future generations.  And on that date the Enlightened Prisoner made the following comment.

But the fact remains. A dedicated group of student-aged folk got this ball rolling and picked up some respectable legal help along the way. The very reasoning behind this action is admirable for its logic. The state had no right to make constitutional determinations that failed to take into account the health and safety of its future generations. Trying to find an excuse for taking issue with that certainly gives cause to suspect its motive.

Those of you convinced by the expensive ad campaign that Trump is such an acceptable candidate probably can't remember the sales campaign for the Edsel.  (Thanks to Peter Drucker

On 12-13-24, an Opinion piece by Journalist Jackie Calmes was published on the internet.  A portion of that opinion piece is added to the Enlighted Prisoner's site to show the absurdity of President Elect Trump's corrupted attempts to usurp our Constituted government.

Trump isn’t president yet and for the second time he’s starting by sacking an FBI director expressly because Wray, like James B. Comey before him in 2017, would not profess loyalty and drop well-deserved criminal investigations of Trump and his allies. And in an especially egregious example of the projection for which Trump is so well known, in each case he accused the FBI directors, both Republicans, of being the ones who politically weaponized the bureau — against him.

Every FBI director since Hoover has been a Republican, and Democratic Presidents Carter, Clinton, Obama and Biden either chose them or kept them on to symbolize that the job is above politics. Before Trump’s two defenestrations, (banishment), the only dumping of an FBI chief was Clinton’s firing of William Sessions after taking office in 1993. But Clinton acted on findings of Sessions’ ethical infractions after a probe begun under Republican President George H.W. Bush.

The 1974 Senate report justifying a mandated 10-year term acknowledged that a president’s power to remove a director within that time “is formally unlimited.” But it suggested that the Senate, given its power to confirm a successor, would act as a check on that removal power — “and will tolerate its exercise for good reason only” and “not merely for the reason that a new President desires his ‘own man’ in the position.”

Alas, the authors didn’t anticipate today’s Senate Republicans, whose servility to the wrathful Trump exceeds their respect for the Senate’s prerogatives and independence. Not one has publicly opposed Patel’s confirmation. Never mind that when Trump, in his first term, tried to make Patel the FBI deputy director, then-Atty. Gen. William Barr said “over my dead body,” according to his memoir.

On 12-12-24, the Washington Post penned an article saying: "Biden commutes nearly 1,500 sentences in ‘largest single-day grant of clemency’, and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The humanitarian aspects of those many pardons and commuting of sentences done by President Biden make a strong statement about his character.

Those previously done by President Elect Trump in his last term of office and those he has hinted are coming for this term speak volumes to the absurd character evident in Trump's mentally unbalanced mind. Sad for us, shame aplenty for Trump.

On 12-12-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Donald Trump named Time magazine’s person of the year", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

When you care enough to eulogize the worst. Enuf' said.

On 12-9-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump reports King Charles ‘fighting very hard’ against cancer", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

It appears, (from the article's content), that all Dear Leader Trump did was embarrasses himself for his ignorance of protocol in dealing with foreign leaders and scored another ding on our country's appearance as goof balls on the world stage.

Monday, December 9, 2024

On 12-9-24, the Washington Post penned an article that the: "Supreme Court turns away cases on hot-button topics", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

I'm beginning to see a return to rational thinking in the Supreme Court's rejection of taking up these three cases of appeal. However, the stated objections by Justices Alito and Thomas reflect on their character, and do not reflect well on their judicial fount.

On 12-5-24, the Editorial Board of the Washington Post penned an Opinion that: "Donald Trump’s disdain for the transition process is ominous". and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Keep the pressure on Trump for a principled administration WAPO.

Remember the words of Justice Black who ruled in WAPO's favor for use of the Pentagon Papers..."The press serves the governed, not the governor."

Wednesday, December 4, 2024

On 12-3-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion for "Want to save your friendships? Take a page from the Founding Fathers."  And on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"When you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice, you may know that your society is doomed." Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged (1957)
While the author of this article pointed to a solution for broken relationships, it was about the feelings of two men, (John Adams & Thomas Jefferson), who were armed with traits of sensitivity, refinement and intelligence. Traits that are seldom found in those who today's media would offer up as headline examples of our popular male hierarchy it seems.

Sunday, December 1, 2024

On 12-1-24, the Enlightened Prisoner posted his editorial on the recent candidates President-Elect Trump has proposed for national posts of government administration.

I don't know why the American electorate is so upset with the fact that President Elect Trump is selecting unsuitable and unqualified candidates to staff governmental posts that affect our nation's visual reputation and competence.

Trump had already proven his inability to administer our government in a reputable and competent way when elected in 2016.  Our short-term memory that certainly got polished over by millions of dollars of deflecting campaign ads proves again our political landscape of election to federal office has reached a corrupted level.

In todays' world it is those paid mind-bending media campaigns that rule.  Not qualification, not integrity, and certainly not intellect.  No longer are they determining factors for our highest offices that determine the state of our governed life.  And it is sad indeed that a portion of our nation's electorate have forsaken those attributes that made us a respected leader in the world community.

Saturday, November 30, 2024

On 11-30-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Canada’s Trudeau meets with Trump at Mar-a-Lago after tariff threat", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"Trudeau told reporters on Saturday morning that he had “an excellent conversation” with Trump during his dinner at Mar-a-Lago, but he walked away from the press when asked if tariffs were discussed. Trump’s transition team did not reply to a request for comment." (As stated in the Washington Post article.)
Well, there you go again. Get ready for another political period of let's not tell the press anything about what we are doing so they can't hold us accountable if it goes wrong. And yet it's the taxes we're paying that's supporting their political charade.

"Charade - noun, an absurd pretense intended to create a pleasant or respectable appearance:"

Friday, November 29, 2024

On 11-26=24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Mexico and Canada push back against Trump’s tariff threats", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

How disgusting to find that the present administration had cooperation agreements working with both neighboring countries. Agreements that had positively reduced and improved immigration problems, yet our media continued to emphasize disturbing bluster from fear-mongers. Which proves again, the electorate craves entertainment above qualifications from government leadership candidates. Sad.

Saturday, November 16, 2024

On 11-15-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion that: "There’s never been a transition like this one", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

There is an obvious statistic that points to the incompetence of Trump as an elected Administrator of the Executive Branch. In his first 4 years, (2017 to 202l), in that capacity, his administration posted a 92% turnover rate for staffing of his working team.

And you seriously believe Trump has the ability to govern? Anyone?

Thursday, November 14, 2024

On 11-11-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion by Jennifer Rubin that: "Trump can keep campaign promises or be popular. Not both", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Let's not let our attention on Trump's advisor and Cabinet appointees overtake the checks and balances responsibility of our unfettered media. The greatest service that you Ms. Rubin, and your coworkers can be right now is to use your sources and skills to track just what goes on behind and around Trump.

Let's be able to show his true character as a corrupted and incompetent administrator by exposing the unseen mistakes and faults of his appointed staff.  Just like we learned of the true incompetency of his last folly in governance of our country.

On 11-12-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "What Trump’s win means for the world’s most pressing problems", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

An entire news column on speculation. They haven't a clue how the Dark Clown Trump will act and react. Seems like the print media needs to adopt disclaimer statements for when they be speaking out of turn. And their source material doesn't extend past their personal imagination level.

Saturday, November 9, 2024

About a month ago, opinion writer Danny Westneat penned in the Seattle Times: "Who is pulling the plug on Seattle’s public TV — and how to save it", and the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"In comparison, spending on the City Council itself — its staffers and communication aides — is set to rise by 15% in the next two years, after a big increase last year. One could start the search for money there." (Quoted the article.)

Aha, the problem is discovered. It seems that the positions of elected administrators for our local, state, and federal government have considered themselves so important they must surround themselves with, that's right, administrative professionals that are expected to do the work necessary to make them look good enough for reelection and continuation of their ego trip. And the more elected positions we create...well you get the picture.

On 11-9-24, the Seattle Times penned an opinion by Danny Westneat that: "Whispers from Washougal hint how Democrats went wrong in the election", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Ah Danny, you've broke the code. While political campaign expenditures were put at 16 billion dollars this year, and the untold billions more spent by the media creating a cadre of talking heads whose speculations were only as reliable as their imiginations, the ground swell word of mouth campaign ruled. And the money part only reveals the vulnerability of the electorate, we'd rather be entertained than correctly informed. When are we gonna learn?

Wednesday, November 6, 2024

On 11-6-24, the Washington Post penned an Analysis that: "Trump votes, and then utters 15 falsehoods in 15 minutes", and on the date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Why so many Americans would vote for a fraud, a habitual liar that is also a convicted felon is the mystery of the day. Their claims to love of country apparently doesn't include a wise and frugal government. And they doubled down by not voting more Democratic Congressional representatives as an effective check and balance on a rouge President.

Well, be prepared for the consequences.

Saturday, November 2, 2024

On 11-3-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "A chaotic presidential transition could embolden U.S. adversaries", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

It's about time US citizens began understanding how the threats of countries in the communist block may take advantage of an internal chaos over challenges to our Presidential election which could result in them applying tactical movements that compromise the unity of our united defense.

The worst thing would be a losing candidate mouthing off about taking to the streets in support of them being the actual winner for unsupported reasons. Exactly what Trump did in the 2020 election, and he's given us fair notice he'd do it again. Do not forget that all of Trump's claims of fraudulent voting in 2020 were handled by judicial process and none, let me repeat loudly, NONE were found to have any merit.

In the 1960 election John F Kennedy's popular vote margin over Richard Nixon was just 118,574 votes of 68,838,219 votes cast. Still the Electoral College provided the necessary margin of winning vote and Nixon accepted his defeat.

And just for information, if neither candidate receives the necessary Electoral College vote (270 votes required to win), the determination goes to our House of the People. That's right, the Chamber of the House of Representatives where each state's representatives are given just 1 vote, and their tally picks the winner.

Your attention to the duty of being a worthy citizen in this matter is essential. Be aware that we are a country of millions, and we vote as we please, not as we're told.

Wednesday, October 30, 2024

10-30-24, the Washington Post penned the article: "Majority of swing-state voters say they fear violence if Trump loses", and on that date the Enlighten Prisoner responded thus:

Absolutely worthless journalism. It's almost as if the story writers are looking to encourage dissatisfied people to find physical expression for their frustration. This type of violence is strictly a problem for local law enforcement and these writers are trying to make it into a cause for national response.

They just don't get it. Maybe you writers need to just read the frustration expressed in the comments and get a clue?

On 10-29-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "White House, Trump campaign clash over whether Biden called Trump supporters ‘garbage’", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

I cannot believe I've just read that the news media is so desperate to start divisive behavior among the politicized they're forcing them to choose sides over a he said, she said incident. I mean, how much faith can you put into print media when they nit-pik for valueless entertainment.

On 10-25-24, the Washington Post penned an Op-Ed Opinion by Jeff Bezos, Washington Post Owner that: "The hard truth: Americans don’t trust the news media", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

News media trust and reputation on the ropes Mr. Bezos? Didn't really start until accumulated media venues became the new toys of billionaires and wealth management groups, did it?

On 10-28-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Post editorial board members step down in wake of endorsement decision", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Be afraid that so many of the financially elite are using their wealth to putter with actions to create a controlling base for governmental influence. The upshot is they're finding the best useful idiots in the conservative Republican corral. And it isn't just with the office of an Executive Branch Administrator. They've extended that wealth puttering to a significant portion of the Legislative Branch and we're already aware of their inroads with the Judicial Branch.

Seems the financial elite have found there's so much more productive influence in putting payoffs in the hands of government's controllers than those past days of arranging under the table payoffs to career bound bureaucrats.

Monday, October 28, 2024

On 10-28-24, the Washington Post penned a Column for "Another night at the Garden: How Trump’s rally echoed one in 1939", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

As I scroll through news articles on the Madison Square Garden event, I can't help but be embarrassed for those who have spent their political association years with the Republican Party. Those crude and insensitive statements made at the event against everything and everyone who's "not like us" are harbingers.

This political party's label has been reduced to representing thuggery induced fear for something that only exists in the narrow minds of the Trump support base and doesn't pass the test for the reality of our country's truthful condition.

Such utter nonsense being used to incite can only be attributed to disparaging claptrap intended to support a non-political party's desire for taking control of our country to rule it in support of their self-interests.  Not to improve conditions for its occupants.

And I can't help but be concerned that Trump's hidden agenda is to reverse the emerging trend for the increased evidence that his past criminal conduct is due for reckoning.

Saturday, October 26, 2024

      On 10-26-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Elon Musk, enemy of ‘open borders,’ launched his career working illegally", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus;

And so, it is. Like his apparent political plaything Trump, Elon Musk is also one who takes advantage of our country's rules and disregards those standing in the way of personal ambition.

Following rules made for level playing fields in the commercial and financial landscape are just for dopes it seems. Neither Trump nor Musk have made their fortunes without breaking the rules, and in Trump's case being a convicted Felon for outright white-collar criminal fraud, (and only a date for sentencing remains).

Alas, not content with their ill-begotten wealth, they invade the political scene to create further chaos to promote more, (or less), rules to legitimize their scheming platform and obtain the governmental resources to absolve their trail of malfeasance. Sad indeed they seem to also impress a significant portion of our electorate who seem immune to being led astray. Sad indeed.

Friday, October 25, 2024

On 10-24-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump says he’d fire special counsel Jack Smith in ‘two seconds’ if elected again", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Trump's thoughts and words in speeches of how to deal with the problems he creates are reflections on his highly insecure and unhinged persona. And it is that highly undeveloped ability for applying mental reason and rational to problem solving that makes him unfit for the complexities of governing others.  A fact that is being actively stated by former members of his presidential advisor team.

Unqualified in so many ways but with a showman's capacity for attracting attention and projecting an allusion of confidence is evidenced in his long list of continuous business failures. And don't forget his absolute lack of care and concern for others while accepting no accountability for his own mistakes.  His disrespect for truthful response is a warning sign as is his constant habit of referring to opponents in demonized terms.  Still, above all those negativities is his public persona of crass behavior and lack of the sophisticated demeanor expected from one who would define our country. A pick for our country's leadership deserves better.

Monday, October 21, 2024

On 1020-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "The CIA analyst who triggered Trump’s first impeachment asks: Was it worth it?", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"Working from his CIA desk and his home, the analyst pored over reports from obscure U.S. and Ukrainian news outlets. He consulted with a handful of colleagues who had begun to share his concerns and sketched out wire diagrams to figure out how all the players and scraps of information were connected." (Quoted from the article.)
And yet, a sizeable portion of political affiliates and the country's electorate chose to believe the statements of Trump innocence without seeing or hearing one shred of evidence provided, (beyond statements), that would prove to be an exculpate of guilt. Did I miss the most important point here, anyone?

A sad testimony indeed to our diminishing concern for the forthright integrity of our elected. Sad indeed.

Friday, October 18, 2024

On 10-18-24, the Washington Post penned the article: "Trump hotel overcharged Secret Service, report by House Democrats finds", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The authors of the report, which is based on Trump International Hotel room records from September 2017 and August 2018, argue that Trump violated the Constitution’s foreign and domestic emoluments clauses, which were designed to prevent the president and other federal officials from enriching themselves at taxpayer expense.
Of course, this would be grounds for impeachment if we had an impartial Congress with any sense of integrity left, but we don't. So why can't it be a Biden legacy that he immediately orders the Department of Justice to gather evidence and present it to a federal Grand Jury for consideration of indictment?

Wednesday, October 16, 2024

On 10-16-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Project 2025 ex-director condemns Heritage president’s ‘violent rhetoric’", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"Roberts (the Heritage Foundation President), called for “a political revolution” to “overthrow today’s incarnation of the ruling class,” argued that the nation “must be destroyed and replaced,” and supported the elimination of institutions including the Ivy League, the FBI, Fairfax County (Va.) Public Schools and the Boy Scouts." (Quoted the article.)
Gosh, I don't know why we're giving newsprint to someone who's crazy enough to say things I can't ever take seriously. That reads like something I'd expect to see a fake Hitler in a Mad Magazine story saying to a Women's Garden Club after downing a cup of laced tea.

On 10-16-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump can be charged with obstruction after high court ruling, filing says", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus: Trump can be charged with obstruction after high court ruling, filing says

Trump did, ...“willfully caused his supporters to obstruct and attempt to obstruct the proceeding by summoning them to Washington, D.C., and then directing them to march to the Capitol to pressure the Vice President and legislators to reject the legitimate certificates and instead rely on the fraudulent electoral certificates.” (This is a quote from the article.)
I have no problem accepting this statement as fact because I was seeing these very statements and actions happen as they were presented by national news broadcasts.

Now I'm a competent witness and a US Citizen and would answer a subpoena to testify that Donald Trump, (in his capacity as a defeated presidential candidate), did attempt to overthrow the government's elected candidate for President in actions that were illegal and were committed when he had no official capacity nor lawful authority for such actions. So help me God!

Damn, as a US Military Veteran, I really feel like that's doing more to defend the Country of my Birth than those 4 years of duty.

Tuesday, October 8, 2024

On 10-8-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump secretly sent covid tests to Putin during 2020 shortage, new book says", (in book written by Bob Woodard), and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The Muller report offered the ideal evidence to convict Trump of impeachment for using a foreign country's resources to assist in his Presidential campaign. The US Senate failed its obligation to the American electorate and choose to act as a partisan whitewash. Sad.

Friday, October 4, 2024

On 10-3-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion that: "I’ve written many dark and stormy columns on free speech. Not this one."  A quote from the article is shown below:

In September, the new president of Stanford University, which last year saw a conservative speaker shouted down, gave a speech in which he declared that “the university’s purpose is not political action or social justice. It is to create an environment in which learning thrives.”

Thursday, October 3, 2024

On 10-3-24, the Washington Post penned an Analysis of: "5 takeaways from the big new filing on Trump’s 2020 election plot", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The release of the details in the filing are appreciated. The continuous diatribe of professed innocence by Trump and the mouths of MAGA minions are so tiring because they never touch on evidence of innocence, just blather.  And not surprising, the Trump and MAGA responses to this story totally lack any offerings to the indictment's stated evidence.

I understand the need for decorum and protection of accused rights by statements bordering on evidence made outside the courtroom prior to trial, but the media's obsession with allowing itself to be taken in by mere bloviate utterances is hardly newsworthy.

And in the case of Trump, nothing he ever says is worth newsprint. But then, the news media has always shown a tendency to be slow learners when it comes to the responsibility of "only the news fit to print".

Thursday, September 26, 2024

On 9-24-24, the Washington Post penned an Analysis that: "Trump keeps talking about criminalizing dissent", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

What needs more punishment is when candidates for elected office use unsourced or false information to condemn anyone or anything. While many states have laws that punish making false reports as crimes, we give a free pass to politicians? Who are seeking a post of trustworthiness? And such conduct reflects directly on their ability to represent others?

Monday, September 23, 2024

On 9-21-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "What Trump has promised to do on ‘day one’ as president", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

There's a rather poignant reminder for the dissatisfaction of Trump's bellicose claims of the executive actions he would enact given the power of Executive privilege. That reminder belongs to a unique club of still living Republican Presidential and Vice-Presidential elected and unelected candidates who have voiced opposition or claim no support for Trump.

Of the group only Vice-President candidate Sarah Palin voiced support for Trump. Enough said?

On 9-23-24, the Washington Post penned an Analysis of: "Donald Trump’s imaginary and frightening world", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

We find out, (confirmed by our Intelligence agencies), that Russian, Iran and China all actively support and with their money pay for any made-up, (read lies), news reports that would cause us, (the citizens of our country), to question and reduce our confidence in the type of government that has provided us with our much-preferred-life style.

The idea being to create a chaos that would make representative government so suspect that a single leader with total powers were necessary. Just like the way they run their own countries. And of course, they don't have any problems with the demands of immigration. Nor do you hear about any of their other problems because there's no freedom of their media to tell anyone about it.

So, why is the political platform of Trump and his MAGA cult so similar in telling you the government doesn't work unless you give me (not Congress) full power and immunity? Or, that part, (read liberal, or is it freedom), of the news media that doesn't agree with my platform needs to, well, disappear? That's about the way I see it folks, how about you?

Thursday, September 19, 2024

On 9-19-24, the Washington Post penned that article that: "Alaska man charged with threatening to kill six Supreme Court justices", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

And how is this any less dangerous a threat than firing all the government's bureaucrats to satisfy the ego of a presidential candidate? Or usurping the legal process of voting by encouraging an uncontrolled mob of people to occupy the People's House while in his capacity as an elected governmental leader. Or inciting a significant portion of our people to riotous fervor by making false accusations of "stolen election"?

Sunday, September 15, 2024

On 9-15-24, the Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin penned the Opinion, "Debates don’t matter. Except when they really do." and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"...many in the news media effectively kept his (Trump's) defects under wraps. With 60-plus million people watching, however, the jig was up. Trump, the country could see, was nuts. (Quotes the article)
The conservative media platforms did their best to put a positive spin on Trump's debate performance, but in its own way it became the electorate's vetting process for this Presidential election.

The candidate Trump was not able to hide his hidden agenda. The man is absolutely unqualified and incapable for bringing a thoughtful and reasoned mind to the demands of the office.

Friday, September 13, 2024

On 9-13-24, the Washington Post penned an article that Secretary of State: "Blinken says Russian state media outlet runs intelligence operations", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The Russians are pretty good at not spending money foolishly. Chances are they're intelligence efforts are best served by just making sure the bills are paid for ensuring operations of our own conservative media networks.

After all, who does a better job of spinning fake news and creating social divisiveness and supporting chaos than unregulated Fox News, Newsmax, Breibart, or Gateway Pundit, right?

On 9-13-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Tech giants fight a plan to make them pay more for electric grid upgrades", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Well, here's still another good reason to keep those conservative Republicans away from the people's house in Washington, D.C.  Way too many judicial and legislative actions of late favor big business who only want to create profit to buy back stock, or buy out competition, or pay for reelection of their legislative stooges.

On 9-13-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion that: "Fox News cleans up another Trump mess", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

And there you have it folks. The Justice Department is concerned with the efforts of countries, (who don't like us), making efforts to unfairly influence our Presidential election when the overwhelming efforts by our own conservative unregulated media sources are doing it for them. They've taken Fact Checking to a new unregulated height of absurdity.

Or are those unregulated sources actually in bed with outside sources?

On 9-12-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Georgia judge dismisses two more charges against Trump in election case", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

It appears the dismissed charges are based on solid argument that they do not belong in Georgia's state courts, so be it. What remains though are charges that make a solid argument that Trump and his co-defendants committed gross acts against the election rights for the State of Georgia. So, let's get that taken care of within due course. After all, it contributes to Trump's next book, "The Art of Corrupting Justice!"

Saturday, September 7, 2024

On 9-7-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Mother of Georgia suspect is said to have called school before shooting, warning of ‘emergency’", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

How do you as a school official or a law enforcement officer risk your reputation or humanitarian respect for the inherent rights of others when they are described by adults, (even parents), over a phone as offering verbal threats or exhibiting aberrant behavior they've heard or seen but you have not?

How do you, after the fact, respond to questions from a source wanting explanation you know would put the answers in the public domain with a spin you'd have no control over? Or, put out summaries of evidence that the very release may offer grounds jeopardizing the outcome of a trial to obtain control over further incident?

We're a society that demands our curiosity and lust to know more than others must be satisfied. And willing to make up a lot to appear knowledgeable. You can read it between the lines of comments made here.

But the fact remains, no amount of preventive action works better than having a lot less lethal weapons and a lot less accessibility to putting them in the wrong hands. A fact that the politically unmotivated can't abide.

Friday, September 6, 2024

On 9-5-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: Trump lawyers spar with judge over pace of D.C. election interference case", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

So again, the point left unsaid here is, if Trump has exculpatory evidence, why not get to trial and prove his innocence.

No, this stalling is because Trump has no evidence of innocence and can only be saved from still more felony convictions by becoming the Emperor of America and pardon himself. You know, like those Kings, or Chairman, or Ayatollahs of the totalitarian countries that Trump's so enamored with would do for themselves.

On 9-4-24, the Washington Post penned an article that: "A school cop admitted to sexually abusing two students. He got probation.", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

And still another sports "jock", spoiled by the collegiate system of fan entertainment with a business plan to use their talent without any attempt to refine their values. Then turned loose on society with their career-based, hero-deemed personas of I can do whatever I want to do.

On 8-29-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion that: "Harris is freaking Trump out by shrugging him off", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

But she, (Vice-President Harris) insisted in the article: “Listen, I am running because I believe that I am the best person to do this job at this moment for all Americans, regardless of race and gender.”

That's not a campaign brag, her successful experience, intellect, reason and judgement have been truthfully put forth. While Trump, (a former President who was kicked out of office by an overwhelming vote), continues to cast stones, blusters and brag and continues to avoid transparency for his qualifications because they show his lack of experience, intellect, reason and judgement.

Even one of Trump's college professors' calls him "...the dumbest damned student I've ever had."

On 8-24-24, the Washington Post penned a Column for: "There’s a reason Adam Kinzinger defended Democrats’ patriotism", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Loving a country is not about being a member of a political party or supporting a governing body. It's showing a faith for being a member of the community of family, friends and neighbors by giving them respect, support and doing those things necessary for the communities' safety, security, beautification, and financial support.

Many of our world's countries have experienced large numbers of displaced people, called immigrants. Why? Because the governments of their countries of birth or occupation have imploded on the rights or privileges of their citizens to maintain their standards of community.

Those rouge governments have claimed the powers and resources of the country for their own use and benefit. And have created a police state of selfishness and control from being accountable for their actions. And if you don't think that doesn't describe the political actions of the radical MAGAs operating under the Republican flag, think again. If you're still not sure, maybe you need to read and study "Project 2025". It's about forsaking the justice and dignity of our Constitutional government.

On 8-29-24, the Washington Post penned an Opinion: " A new indictment points to Trump’s illegal acts — and justices’ errors", and on the date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

If the Supreme Court is putting the office of President in some type of Imperial status with a given right to rule with impunity, consider this.

George Washington was a delegate that signed the states approved Constitution of the United States. The Constitution was then used as the vehicle to elect Washington its first President of those Constituted United States.

Yet Washington felt his election was a directed mandate of his role in gaining our independence from the United Kingdom and warned that he was not comfortable with the governing power those who elected him assumed he would use. Recall that his election was composed of white male landowners, (there are no records of votes in that election attributed to all those granted citizenship by the Constitution).

Washington was convinced his Presidential role was to act as the Public Servant and administer a government that served the interests of those it governed. For our present occupants who occupy those hallowed positions of our ultimate court of appeal for governmental operations to think Presidential power needs unlimited abilities to act flies in the face of our basic governmental premise, "We the People." And that also speaks to those elected representatives who occupy the "People's House" of governmental responsibility.
