The Washington Post wrote an Analysis | "Indictment or no, Trump’s strategy is the same: Attack and threaten", and on 3-26-23, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Yes, attack and threaten. That would be the theme for any terror-oriented cadre trying to overthrow the United States social order and its representative government. Do not be fooled, Trump does not want to govern, he wants to rule.

And when we gave him a chance to govern, he proved his incompetency by giving us a most inept period of world embarrassment and, the most corrupt and criminal laced administration in recent history. And don't forget the period of pardons for his lawlessness bunch of cronies, and his extended period of personality display for lack of compassion and concern for any who were not in his court of worshipers. Is there still room to remind you of his mindless tweets and chronic lies?

Opinion piece published by the Washington Post:| "The most underrated story in U.S. politics: the post-Trump consensus", and on 3-23-23, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Are we overlooking the influence on political consensus that's created by media headlines? You know, those intended to promote anxiety and quick opinion in order to draw interest to the source of the news, not the content?

On 3-20-23, the Washington Post published the Opinion | A judge delivers another blow to Trump and his lawyer.  And on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

I cannot help but recall the Republican failed attempt to impeach President Clinton decades ago. The President was not indicted for his sexual liaison with an aide, but rather that when confronted he lied to investigators about the incident. The Republicans were obsessed with making this the central theme of charges because it reflected on his character qualifications for the office.

Now, fast forward to the Republican obsession with making the king of sexual liaisons Trump seem innocent of being a serial liar for his entire private and political life as now having qualified character traits for national governance?

And do pay special attention to the use of dark money sources now authorized by the SCOTUS fiasco "Citizens United" decision that keep coming up as manipulative use in Trump's defense.

Gawd how our politics have developed into such a corrupt state.

Trump-commissioned report undercut his claims of dead and double voters, wrote a Washington Post Editorial, and added: "A copy was reviewed by The Washington Post, and it shows that Trump’s own campaign paid more than $600,000 for research that undercut many of his most explosive claims. The research was never made public."  Then on 3-17-23, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

And yet, a significant portion of our country's electorate "wants" to believe that they know best that Trump has been honest with them? And are willing to put their faith in action? Really? You are willing to bring back for consideration a totally proven lying and manipulative person to rule, (not lead), the government for us all?

You'd better think on that like most of us have.

At center of Fox News lawsuit, Sidney Powell and a ‘wackadoodle’ email, wrote the Washington Post on 3-15-23, and stated further that:

"Fox has countered that individual hosts who brought Powell on their shows believed that these claims — coming from a respected lawyer who was using them as the basis for court challenges — might be valid", also wrote the Washington Post, and to that the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

There you have it, an admission from a self-proclaimed news organization that they operate on the premise that it "might be valid". Oh, and "respected lawyer" is the rest of language that shows their judgmental skills for veracity and truth in reporting, doesn't it?

I guess it's a reality that people who get their news from Fox are fearful of having to admit they've been taken in, so they join with the rest of the mislead.

The Washington Post wrote that, "Pence says ‘history will hold Donald Trump accountable’ for Jan. 6th," and on 3-12-23, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

What a hypocritical nation we've become when political party tribal influence overcomes the moral obligation to call out wrong when we see it. And how cowardly those oath-taking appointed and elected officials who sought to discredit those ruled by their conscience who offered the evidence necessary to affect the demagogue Trump's misuse of power.

Is that the history you're talking about former Vice-President Pence?

The Washington Post wrote on "House conservatives (Freedom Caucus) issue new spending demands in debt ceiling debate, and on 3-10-23, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The fact that this caucus makes their demands via theater instead of meaningful discussion in the matter of work for which they draw their taxpayer dollars speaks volumes.

Obviously, the subject of curtailing government spending should start with the ways of spending abuse by the Legislative Branch, eh?

Analysis | The GOP backlash on Tucker Carlson wrote the Washington Post, and on 3-7-23, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

This sudden movement by significant Republicans to abhor Donald Trump is based on good evidence. He's neither a qualified person to administer governance, nor is he a decent human being.

I'm just curious why they didn't make that opinion public knowledge sooner. And I'm still curious how anyone could be a fan of such a disgusting example of humanity.

A Washington Post article noted that, "50 years later, Black Army officer receives Presidential Medal of Honor", and on 3/3/23, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

A humble man has once again shown us the spirit and sacrifice that makes this nation great. Thank you, Colonel (Paris) Davis.

And a pox upon the ignorant and selfish politics that creates the turmoil you've endured to reach this well-deserved recognition as a citizen soldier.

Washington Post wrote that "Biden team enlists top Democrats in early bid for campaign unity", and on 3/3/23, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

I'm an independent who would prefer a Presidential candidate with a different message than the "good ol' boy" approach with worn out appeal. But have to admit the image of mutual trust and respect being displayed by this unity front of the Democrats is refreshing. It's indication that one party has an interest and plan for corporative governance that's more about efficiency then power. But they better show an intent to make good on reduction of spending and our debt being left to future generations.

This bomb blast shame and blame tactics of the disorganized and fractured Republican clown show are little but governance by theater and totally indicative of another repeat performance of apprentice incompetency. They hardly make it worth our time to even consider them as serious marketers of political promises when they can't even acknowledge that having an attitude goes nowhere for getting things done.
