On 11-26-22, WAPO wrote an Opinion that: "For evidence that GOP ‘angertainment’ isn’t working, take a look at Colorado."  And to that the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Hate, anger and suspicion, the new normal in our country's campaign themes. Hardly the stuff that representative governance embraces. Politics should be about the compromises that best serves public interests. Yet we continue to come up with candidates that promote on our social media behemoths freedom of their speech, not freedom of your thoughtfulness.

WAPO published an opinion on 11-23-22 that "Election denial is reaching new levels of absurdity in Arizona", and the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Since when has news stories featuring absurdities become the new normal for public information services. Has journalism become so low-browed that they must draw attention to the feckless of our society instead of highlighting character?

On 11-22-22, WAPO published that a (court) appeals panel grills Trump lawyer over FBI search of Mar-a-Lago and the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The indulgence of Trump is an abomination.

WAPO reports that the Supreme Court denies Trump request to withhold tax returns from Congress, and on 11-22-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

“It has been 1,329 days since our committee sought Donald Trump’s tax returns — almost as long as the American Civil War,” said Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. (D-N.J.), chairman of the House Ways and Means subcommittee on oversight. “And for 1,329 days, our request made under law has been delayed, obfuscated and blocked by Donald Trump and his adjutants in the government and the courts. … The Supreme Court is right to keep its nose out of this case.”

And that my fellow citizens is an absolute truth. What we are about to uncover is a total documentation of what a corrupt civil servant does to feather his nest while raiding your nest.

Yet such a large portion of our fellow citizens is about to find they are capable of being deceived. But are they able to deal with the reality of that truth?

And on 11-22-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

Truly, Trump's legacy is how he has taught this country (and his sycophants) to wear so many coats of shame and impropriety.

The Enlightened Prisoner thought you'd just like to know:

"Ten of the last eleven recessions (in recent history) started during Republican presidential administrations.  Six of the seven administrations with the with highest job-creation rates since World War II were Democratic, and six of the seven administrations with the lowest were Republican.

Every Republican president since Ronald Reagan has presided over a 65 percent or greater expansion of the federal deficit, including Donald Trump, who added $8 trillion to the national debt."

(Reported by the news media source The Daily Beast and printed in the November 18, 2022, issue of The Week magazine."

Washington Post Perspective | Speaker Pelosi’s style of power, and on 11-18-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

Thoughtful, diligent, intent and character to boot. Our national political scene was better for her participation.

According to the Washington Post, a U.S. intelligence report says key Gulf ally meddled in American politics and on 11-12-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

Until the Citizens United decision is reversed by Congress, and until Congress gets serious about Sunshine Laws to put a spotlight on every political doner our political system is vulnerable to monied interests, foreign and domestic.

The first problem and always the last is morally inept members of Congress. They want to protect their unlimited funding for reelection, the cruds.

A red wave of criticism crashes into Donald Trump after midterm losses says the Washington Post, and on 11-12-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

“That gives you a clue that the voters want to move on. And a true leader knows when they have become a liability to the mission.” (Says the article)

The operative word here citizens is "true leader." Trump has never been but a carnival huckster with an unqualified apprentice's attitude and skill set for the responsibilities of public office.

Our history has aligned itself in praise and respect for its leaders who came from simple backgrounds and became proven for dedicated work that evolved in their chosen career. Those born of mouths lined with silver spoons and a mindset of disrespect for any of differing opinion are little but spoiled brats who react badly when their ignorance and selfishness are exposed.

And does it become necessary to point out how ridiculous those who follow the flag of failed leaders color themselves?

Washington Post Opinion:| Trump won’t fade away. The GOP will have to get rid of him, and on the date of 11-10-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

Well, you can certainly count on Trump's GOP leadership to establish one political record that will probably stand forever.

More members of his Administration, campaign staff, and general advisors to be indicted, convicted, or forced out of appointed office for malfeasance than any politically active group in history.

And that doesn't even touch the secondary awards for the most lies, hyperbole, hate ads, and ignorance of protocol, and constitutional disrespect for governance or oath of office ever shown by a group of political wannabes.

Immigration officials confirm Pelosi attacker was in the U.S. illegally says the Washington Post, and on 11-3-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

An illegal immigrant from another country enters by stating he's a casual visitor in "2008"(!?!?), then is able to live and publish on our social media for great lengths of time statements of mentally deviant behavior without attracting the attention of law enforcement? Or, even if he did, our criminal justice system responsible for effecting incarceration overlooked him in jaundiced disregard?

Then, he only earns our attention by a grossly bizarre act of violence affecting the political community. We haven't got a border problem. It is and always has been an internal security problem that's forced to deal with public opinion and political firebrands.
