Opinion | Distinguished persons of the week: Accountability for lawyers who betrayed democracy wrote the Wash Post, and on 10-8-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:
“But attorneys are bound by a code of professional conduct that forbids them from crossing certain lines, including knowingly making false claims, filing frivolous lawsuits or motions, and doing anything to further a crime."
It’s why a lot of Trump’s legal representatives are, and should be, in as much trouble as him. That code should also apply when their actions affect the social order of our country’s citizens. There’s not a court in the country that has taken up the frivolous lawsuits of voting irregularities and found any merit to any of them. Why? A total lack of evidence that’s required for an actionable suit. Yet, these “officers of the court” continue to hawk and further the crime of the phony election lies which becomes a double hit when you consider the number of lawyers who are also elected legislators and are under even a second sworn code to uphold Constituted law.
