Documents detail U.S. military’s frustration with White House, diplomats over Afghanistan evacuation and on 2-8-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:
You start a war in a country that has little desire to buy into your concept of ownership or governing, against an enemy with no structural command presence, an enemy with little integrity for the rules or tactics of conscience warfare, and an enemy of dubious concern for the rights or respect of those they profess to represent. And because of our unwelcome presence the battles are fought piecemeal by daily sortie from fortified living quarters.
So, we decide to get out, but politicians decide the military owes an obligation to protect those the enemy could care less about or accept responsibility to maintain. Then those rear-guard troops of ours take the most logical position of circle the wagons and shoot back at anyone who shoots at you because the enemy finds infiltration while hiding behind pleading civilians so much fun.
And now you're here to tell me how we need to look back at how we could have done it better? Hey, we're outa there and the only ones that are suffering are the civilian contractors who know best how to milk a situation made bad by politicians. Just look at their profit line.
