On 12-22-22, WAPO wrote that, "Pelosi reflects on transition from ‘awesome power’ to ‘strong influence’, and the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

I've no doubt that history will be kind to Nancy Pelosi's reign as the Speaker for the People's House. She was afforded that position by peers who recognized her ability to know what needed to be done and getting there in a manner that reflected on her negotiating skills. She seemed to sense what best served the interests of the people she represented and stood tall in defense of her principles.

The fact she was hated by the pettiest of her male opponents is naught but an endorsement of envy for the skills they lacked. Fare thee well Madam Speaker, you have performed with distinction.

Opinion | ‘Conspiracy to defraud’ is the perfect charge against the grifter Trump wrote the Washington Post, and on 12-20-22, the Enlightened Prisoner wrote:

"Trump, our political gift that keeps grifting".

Monday, December 19, 2022

On 12-17-22, WAPO wrote: "How Trump jettisoned restraints at Mar-a-Lago and prompted legal peril", and on 12-18-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

What a terribly selfish and self-centered person is Donald Trump. And what disgrace and shame he has brought upon this country's esteemed office.

Saturday, December 17, 2022

Father of Highland Park shooting suspect charged with reckless conduct wrote WAPO, and on 12-17-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

y quit with just parents? Why not go after the block-headed administration of the National Rifle Association? You know, the ones who promote manufacturing and sales of US made firearms with naught but people killing capacities. All in the name of arming a "well organized militia".

Well, that "well organized militia" appears to be disenfranchised young white men with the cowardly ambition of attacking the soft targets of our youth and their instructors at school campus settings, or churches, or retail shopping markets, or community parades, concert events, and night clubs.

While a significant portion of our population shows a detached indifference to making rules to correct the shame of this national problem. Sad indeed.

‘Dark money in politics an even darker place’ now, judges warn,' wrote the WAPO press, and then on 12-15-22, The Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

If the truth be known, the only cheerleaders for the "Citizens United" decision are those who would choose to perpetuate their ability to govern by fiat, ranking their decisions on the offerings of monied lobbyists, not the governed, or their parliamentary skills, or their commitment to public service.

Too many modern-day parliamentarians are little but self-obsessed exploiters.

Monday, December 12, 2022

WAPO offers an article about, "Before and after Sandy Hook: 40 years of elementary school shooting survivors", and on 12-10-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

"Every time I'm exposed to the revisit of these school shooting stories, I'm moved to want revenge on Wayne LaPierre and the rest of his "block-headed" governing cronies of the National Rifle Association. Their efforts to legitimize the manufacture and sale of human killing machines that have become the talons for disenfranchised young social misfits who have used their cowardly natures to wreak havoc on our country by selection of "soft" targets of indefensible youth. In the name of arming our regulated militia?

And that includes those elected legislators who would prostitute themselves to being receptive for reelection funding from the likes of the NRA."

WAPO reports that: Fearing scandal, Air Force blocked generals’ foreign consulting deals, and on 12-7-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The US military has always had a reputation for exposing its members to challenges and training that gives them skill sets of exceeding value in the commercial world no matter if they serve 4 years or 30 years of duty.

Expecting them to "sit" on those capabilities and not capitalize on the profitable return and work satisfaction that comes with a person's desire to excel at what they know and do is pure bunk.

However, the proper application of that work being used within a power structure or governing entity with interests inimical to United States laws and norms would rightfully belong in the individual's moral judgement skill set.

And how many times have we seen that mental skill set fail to act in patriotic practice? And didn't we just vote a Presidential candidate out of office because of his moral and mental deficient skill set? Seems like someone took these generals to task for that similar judgmental error and they are reacting with the same infantile whiney practice we got from them in a higher pay bracket than there's. Oh yes, how money does turn our persona into a nation of sheep.

Monday, December 5, 2022

On 12-4-22, WAPO offered an Opinion | Trump’s call for suspending the Constitution is too dangerous to ignore.  And on that date the Enlightened Prisoner offered thus:

Trump is an abomination that was forced upon us by the unregulated purveyors of financial power hidden in the skirts of the Citizens United decision. His campaign minions manipulated the thoughtless drones of social media and religious furor, (also throw in the efforts of Communist Russia cyber soldiers), to a belief that tyrannical leadership would restore US prestige.

No, the Trump administration did little but add to the free world's disgust of our reputed arrogance as a country. And his claim to run the country like a business proved he could fleece our treasury for the profit he couldn't find in his so many failed ventures.

Yes, we elected him by default and paid a dreadful price for our political integrity. But his dismissal after a single term was a mandate that we found him unfit for the duties of office. It's time we recognize his continued presences is little but a curse that requires removal by insertion of a wooden stake marked criminal justice resolved, deliver him to the devil.

Sunday, December 4, 2022

On 12-3-22, a WAPO Opinion says: Originalism is bunk. Liberal lawyers shouldn’t fall for it.  And on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Take note that the originators of the US Constitution were privileged landholders of sufficient education to read, write, and reason. They were also individuals who could pay their own way to the conventions for Constitutional construction.

They were suspicious of the churches of the time whose main intent seemed to govern their followers as they saw fit and, found it necessary to void any reference supporting religious authority other than the right to choose which to believe. The population was able to fend and feed itself, mainly because regulation and quality control was governed by the market and welfare was a family thing.

Personal safety and community security was pretty much left to individual pursuit. That is why they left responsibility for public safety, education, and infrastructure to the individual Constitutions of each approved state to create and arm their own militia or the means of self-protection from the uncertain wilds of totally new territory.

Should I go on, or are you beginning to understand the vagueness of a Constitutional document written in isolation of crystal balls or time machines?

Thursday, December 1, 2022

On 12-1-22, Columnist Ruth Marcus wrote an Opinion saying Originalism is bunk. Liberal lawyers shouldn’t fall for it.  And the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

This is a very worthy essay and shows intrinsically why the Constitution is and should be considered a dynamic document. And why the risk of usurping that theory with originalism thinking is little but an excuse, not a reason.

Saturday, November 26, 2022

On 11-26-22, WAPO wrote an Opinion that: "For evidence that GOP ‘angertainment’ isn’t working, take a look at Colorado."  And to that the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Hate, anger and suspicion, the new normal in our country's campaign themes. Hardly the stuff that representative governance embraces. Politics should be about the compromises that best serves public interests. Yet we continue to come up with candidates that promote on our social media behemoths freedom of their speech, not freedom of your thoughtfulness.

Wednesday, November 23, 2022

WAPO published an opinion on 11-23-22 that "Election denial is reaching new levels of absurdity in Arizona", and the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Since when has news stories featuring absurdities become the new normal for public information services. Has journalism become so low-browed that they must draw attention to the feckless of our society instead of highlighting character?

On 11-22-22, WAPO published that a (court) appeals panel grills Trump lawyer over FBI search of Mar-a-Lago and the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The indulgence of Trump is an abomination.

Tuesday, November 22, 2022

WAPO reports that the Supreme Court denies Trump request to withhold tax returns from Congress, and on 11-22-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

“It has been 1,329 days since our committee sought Donald Trump’s tax returns — almost as long as the American Civil War,” said Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. (D-N.J.), chairman of the House Ways and Means subcommittee on oversight. “And for 1,329 days, our request made under law has been delayed, obfuscated and blocked by Donald Trump and his adjutants in the government and the courts. … The Supreme Court is right to keep its nose out of this case.”

And that my fellow citizens is an absolute truth. What we are about to uncover is a total documentation of what a corrupt civil servant does to feather his nest while raiding your nest.

Yet such a large portion of our fellow citizens is about to find they are capable of being deceived. But are they able to deal with the reality of that truth?

And on 11-22-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

Truly, Trump's legacy is how he has taught this country (and his sycophants) to wear so many coats of shame and impropriety.

Sunday, November 20, 2022

The Enlightened Prisoner thought you'd just like to know:

"Ten of the last eleven recessions (in recent history) started during Republican presidential administrations.  Six of the seven administrations with the with highest job-creation rates since World War II were Democratic, and six of the seven administrations with the lowest were Republican.

Every Republican president since Ronald Reagan has presided over a 65 percent or greater expansion of the federal deficit, including Donald Trump, who added $8 trillion to the national debt."

(Reported by the news media source The Daily Beast and printed in the November 18, 2022, issue of The Week magazine."

Saturday, November 19, 2022

Washington Post Perspective | Speaker Pelosi’s style of power, and on 11-18-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

Thoughtful, diligent, intent and character to boot. Our national political scene was better for her participation.

Monday, November 14, 2022

According to the Washington Post, a U.S. intelligence report says key Gulf ally meddled in American politics and on 11-12-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

Until the Citizens United decision is reversed by Congress, and until Congress gets serious about Sunshine Laws to put a spotlight on every political doner our political system is vulnerable to monied interests, foreign and domestic.

The first problem and always the last is morally inept members of Congress. They want to protect their unlimited funding for reelection, the cruds.

Saturday, November 12, 2022

A red wave of criticism crashes into Donald Trump after midterm losses says the Washington Post, and on 11-12-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

“That gives you a clue that the voters want to move on. And a true leader knows when they have become a liability to the mission.” (Says the article)

The operative word here citizens is "true leader." Trump has never been but a carnival huckster with an unqualified apprentice's attitude and skill set for the responsibilities of public office.

Our history has aligned itself in praise and respect for its leaders who came from simple backgrounds and became proven for dedicated work that evolved in their chosen career. Those born of mouths lined with silver spoons and a mindset of disrespect for any of differing opinion are little but spoiled brats who react badly when their ignorance and selfishness are exposed.

And does it become necessary to point out how ridiculous those who follow the flag of failed leaders color themselves?

Washington Post Opinion:| Trump won’t fade away. The GOP will have to get rid of him, and on the date of 11-10-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

Well, you can certainly count on Trump's GOP leadership to establish one political record that will probably stand forever.

More members of his Administration, campaign staff, and general advisors to be indicted, convicted, or forced out of appointed office for malfeasance than any politically active group in history.

And that doesn't even touch the secondary awards for the most lies, hyperbole, hate ads, and ignorance of protocol, and constitutional disrespect for governance or oath of office ever shown by a group of political wannabes.

Thursday, November 3, 2022

Immigration officials confirm Pelosi attacker was in the U.S. illegally says the Washington Post, and on 11-3-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

An illegal immigrant from another country enters by stating he's a casual visitor in "2008"(!?!?), then is able to live and publish on our social media for great lengths of time statements of mentally deviant behavior without attracting the attention of law enforcement? Or, even if he did, our criminal justice system responsible for effecting incarceration overlooked him in jaundiced disregard?

Then, he only earns our attention by a grossly bizarre act of violence affecting the political community. We haven't got a border problem. It is and always has been an internal security problem that's forced to deal with public opinion and political firebrands.

Saturday, October 29, 2022

White House rejects promoting general involved in Capitol riot response said the Washington Post, and on 10-29-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Whichever way your political winds blow, eh General? Who says politicians are the only cadre practicing crass behavior in government?

You wonder the reaction that may have resulted had Speaker Pelosi been a white male of southern ancestry.

Thursday, October 27, 2022

The Washington Post reports on the latest rise in mortgage rates to 7% and on the date of 10-27-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Recall that real estate market pricing is an entirely arbitrary act by a totally unregulated industry. And the national association of real estate agents is one of the largest contributors of lobbying funds to Republican party interests to keep it that way.

Just thought you'd like to know where the impact on our country's economic insecurity really originates. Like the insignificant interest rates the banking industry puts on passbook and checking account balances. You're welcome.

Friday, October 21, 2022

Judge dismisses GOP-led states lawsuit to block student loan forgiveness plan wrote the Washington Post and on 10-20-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"Republicans claim it's not right for taxpayers to foot the bill for debt the students knowingly gave themselves. What about the Savings & Loan bailout? What about the big bank's bailout? What about the auto industry bailout? What about farm subsidies paying farmers not to grow? What about...?"

Saturday, October 15, 2022

Suspect in custody after five killed, including off-duty officer, in North Carolina shooting reported by the Washington Post, and on 10-14-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

The inability of the National Rifle Association (NRA) to acknowledge the problems associated with an overabundance of retail sold weapons and, ignoring their original intent for national training programs that ensure civilian firearms were in the hands of the responsible and safety trained is a disgrace.

Instead, they have become a spoiled hierarchy using donor monies to feather their benefits nest and political motivators for legislative actions to protect the gun manufacturing and sales cabal while denying national and local governmental attempts to find viable solutions to a problem that's a drain on their tax resources.

Friday, October 14, 2022

New evidence to show Trump was warned of violence on Jan. 6 said the Washington Post, and on 10-12-22. the Enlightened Prisoner wrote thus:

As a US Citizen the most chilling aspect of all this hyperbola is not that my preferred form of government was attacked for totally insane reasons, rather it's seeing the suppression by government's three branches of elected and appointed leadership for giving such little regard for the total truth and transparency of these troubling events.

Tuesday, October 11, 2022

Opinion | Distinguished persons of the week: Accountability for lawyers who betrayed democracy wrote the Wash Post, and on 10-8-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

“But attorneys are bound by a code of professional conduct that forbids them from crossing certain lines, including knowingly making false claims, filing frivolous lawsuits or motions, and doing anything to further a crime."

It’s why a lot of Trump’s legal representatives are, and should be, in as much trouble as him. That code should also apply when their actions affect the social order of our country’s citizens. There’s not a court in the country that has taken up the frivolous lawsuits of voting irregularities and found any merit to any of them. Why? A total lack of evidence that’s required for an actionable suit. Yet, these “officers of the court” continue to hawk and further the crime of the phony election lies which becomes a double hit when you consider the number of lawyers who are also elected legislators and are under even a second sworn code to uphold Constituted law.

These attorneys at the bar have disgraced their profession and their personal standards and values of ethics and accountability. They deserve no less than total disbarment.

Opinion | Yet another lawsuit shows how abortion bans violate religious freedom, a Wash Post piece and on 10-8-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

The Roe vs Wade decision intended, "...that women in the United States had a fundamental right to choose whether to have abortions without excessive government restriction..."

Then President Obama, (a very wise male standard bearer), stated, "...if you don't believe in abortion, don't practice it. But don't foster your religious beliefs on everyone else..."

It seems that a woman's right of choice to spend the greatest portion of their productive life providing, protecting and financially supporting a child of their own creation is an intrinsic value. And is certainly not a value that deserves controlling interference from male-dominated legislatures nor courtrooms. And that is exactly what has happened and why this political carnival is little but an irrational governmental overreach.

"I do not lie, cheat, or steal and I'll not abide that blithering lying fool Trump who owns all those traits. Nor his corrupted imitators."

Thus said the Enlightened Prisoner on 10-4-22.

Thursday, September 29, 2022

Opinion | Just how racist is the MAGA movement? This survey measures it.  And on 9-27-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

These results demonstrate pretty clearly that racist attitudes are formed by a lack of exposure to US societal historical education and, the pressures associated with an overabundance of peer group association. It's the same arrogant attitude that makes such a significant portion of our population believe they really occupy a superior class of individual over others.

How about the historical fact that the US's best-selling liquor, (Jack Daniel's), was actually the mesh recipe created by a plantation slave? Or that only 1/6th of the Southern State's population were slave owners, yet they controlled the politics that drove the victimized attitude into civil war footing?

Thursday, September 22, 2022

Opinion | Why Trump may be at a tipping point by Washington Post Editorial writer Jennifer Rubin, and on 9-22-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

Jennifer, when the dust settles on the miscreant laced career of defeated President Donald Trump, your journalistic efforts to expose and explain his unqualified and morally corrupt behavior will be remembered as a tribute to our national principle for an unfettered press. And certain proof of the inadequacy for cable news in an entertainment format.

Wednesday, September 14, 2022

Opinion | Trump’s legal problems multiply as his excuses disappear wrote the Washington Post, and on 9-14-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

There's beginning to be no doubt that the defeated President Trump is the lowest form of moral corrupt individual we've ever experienced in an elected public servant office. The lying subterfuge that Trump and his attorneys are creating is naught but damning.

This whole event of illegal taking and concealing property that rightly belongs to the United States Government is intolerable. And the idea that this miscreant is afforded such profusely privileged indulgence that would certainly not be afforded any other US Citizen is appalling.

This is absolutely treasonous behavior and a total violation of the oath of office he declared before a Supreme Court Justice and the United States public upon his election to uphold and defend our US Constitution.

As a US Citizen I demand that justice be served and this matter resolved.

Sunday, September 11, 2022

An ex-professor spreads election myths across the U.S., one town at a time by a WAPO story, and on 9-11-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

“I don’t think he understands what he’s talking about most of the time,” said Greenhalgh. “He takes things and extrapolates them to a place that comes completely out of thin air. It sounds good and people believe it because it sounds authoritative if you don’t know much.”

The operative words here folks are, "...if you don't know much." And that is the reason such hucksters as Clements exist. You are rubes who are controlled by what you hear instead of following your own instinct to know more. And that role is what's causing a country of indentured servants to a false premise. Donald Trump has no moral sense or compassion to govern, only to rule and line his pockets in selfish disregard for his followers.

Sunday, August 28, 2022

Opinion | The coming storm: America is not ready for a future pandemic, a Washington Post Editorial Board article and on 8-27-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

How unfortunate that the Post's Editorial Board is so unaware of our history. The Administration of President Obama did in fact create an emergency plan to deal with a pandemic. It was an initial look at the matter and when the incompetent Administration of Trump came it was passed along for more study and fine tuning. I understand it found little interest and somehow was disregarded and, I don't know, maybe it was flushed. Or so the story goes.

Justice Dept. releases 2019 memo on rationale for not charging Trump with obstruction.  A WAPO article and on 8-24-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:
I took the time to download and read the Muller Report. With an investigative background, the nuances of the report were conclusive to me that there were efforts by Trump's campaign minions to engage and encourage Russian military intelligence cyber agents to interfere in our National Presidential election on behalf of Trump. Trump's guilt? Are you aware of any business he was not a fully hands-on manager? And he refused to be interviewed.

Then, after the Muller investigation charged and convicted several of those campaign minions, Trump pardoned them. And don't forget, the Muller Investigation was so well conducted that there's still outstanding federal warrants for the arrest of several Russian citizens who are suspected of those cyber interferences in the election. There are no extradition agreements with Russia.

The tragedy of all this skullduggery is that the Muller Report was adequate and would give a concerned Congress every right to declare the election of Trump null and void. There's not enough shame to cover Trump and his cohorts for the crimes they have committed against this country and the malfeasance and abuse of the exalted position he occupied.

WAPO Perspective: GOP attacks go beyond FBI and elections to delegitimize government, and on 8-24-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Those of us who give thought to the Republican MAGA cult's strategy of delegitimizing our federal government agencies based on hyperbole accusations of misstated and unsupported source material are convinced it is done for a nefarious cause and effect.

Why else would they make such outlandish claims without benefit of standing for cross-examination nor proposed remedy. Instead, they melt away and let an inflamed public acerbate their virulent rhetoric.

Citizens beware and neither serve nor favor those who ask for your loyalty before trust.

Sunday, August 21, 2022

Beto O’Rourke’s risky quest for votes in deep-red Texas and on 8-21-22, the Enlighted Prisoner commented thus:

There's a world of new thoughtful and compassionate politicians out there waiting for discovery. The media just needs to get off this merry-go-round of thinking there's some entertainment value in revisiting the leftovers from that last failed administration we voted off the island for good reason.

Saturday, August 20, 2022

On 8-20-22, the Enlightened Prisoner said thus:

"Do not serve nor please an unprincipled man who asks for loyalty before trust."

Saturday, August 13, 2022

Documents show how Trump landed Lincoln Memorial for Fox News event, and on 8-13-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"A spokesman for the Secret Service declined to comment. A Trump spokesman did not respond to requests for comment." (WAPO article)

Trump's 45th legacy: The most un-transparent and non-accountable Administration in the history of our nation. What went on behind their closed doors is a national disgrace. Unchallenged lies, misuse of office authority, disregard for the norms and protocol for position requirements, outlandish theft and misuse of government funds and services for non-official purposes, language, purpose, and attitudes that are entirely contrary to the Presidential duties and responsibilities of our trusted respect for the US Constitution and its elected officials.

If your continued support for this miscreant fool is a matter of personal pride, then you've naught but a disrespect for the values of your country and deserve the shame of your convictions.

Analysis | 2 illuminating exchanges from the House GOP on the Trump search, and on 8-10-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The MAGA controlling Republicans are unhinged, clueless, and a total clutter of get-me-to-a-mic, quick. They seem only capable of speak and incapable of hearing. I wonder if they even realize how un-American they really sound?

Tuesday, August 9, 2022

Top Republicans join Trump’s evidence-less claims to discredit FBI search, and on 8-9-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

House Minority Leader McCarthy has truly proven himself as little but a Trump strap-holding mutt with little less political skill than a Brothel Madam promoting her product.

Opinion | Why does the IRS need $80 billion? Just look at its cafeteria.  And on 8-9-22, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Just think how much of the IRS problem could be solved with a single tax rate for all with only child and medical deductions. And give me no crap about punishing the poor, it would not. That's just a talking point that comes from all the potential out of work attorneys and accountants.

Analysis | Donald Trump has been preparing for this moment for a long time and on 8-9-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

The idea that Trump accused the FBI of being politically motivated? There's been instances of the J Edgar Hoover era to somewhat support that but tell me a US government Agency that doesn't have to play silly D.C. politics to stay in enough favor to operate. And besides, the political games played and abuse of office by the Trump Administration Secretarial appointments and his inter staff minions were some of the most atrocious in Washington D.C. history. About all this proves is Trump is a capable deflector but hardy an honest man.

Monday, August 8, 2022

Opinion | Distinguished persons of the week: Justice, Justice, shall you pursue, and on 8-8-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

In the last paragraph of James Q. Wilson's book "Thinking About Crime", he wrote thus:

"Wicked people exist. Nothing avails except to set them apart from innocent people. And many people, neither wicked nor innocent, but watchful, dissembling, and calculating of their opportunities, ponder our reaction to wickedness as a cue to what they might profitably do. We have trifled with the wicked, made sport of the innocent, and encouraged the calculators. Justice suffers, and so do we all."

I believe our country is at a crossroad of giving dignity back to our sense of community, security, and justice. All it takes is for a few good people to no longer remain silent. Liz Cheney has started down that path and deserves our respect and the inspiration it represents. Come on US of A, you can do this.

Thursday, August 4, 2022

Sandy Hook lawyers say Alex Jones’s attorneys accidentally gave them his phone contents and the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus on 8-4-22:

Alex Jones is a textbook example of how our society values are being corrupted. Constant lies and misinformation that goes unchallenged because we make FCC rules that ignore the need for news information to be authenticated or judged fair before being allowed on public broadcast outlets. We hear a public clamor for all points of view to be heard but fail to hold those views to a standard of fairness and truth. And that's exactly how the propaganda machine of the Nazi regime put the entire societies of the world in a death and destruction mode. Alas, when are a few good people going to step up and right these wrongs when the lessons of history are so obvious?

Thursday, July 21, 2022

Good Gawd, our government under President #45 just ran amuck over all their oaths, procedures, Congressional mandates, mission statements, due diligent responsibilities, and accountability, just like their trendsetting lying leader. Our Country's ethics have never been so low. Evidence indeed that the Republican party is totally corrupt and unfit to govern. (Comment on 7-21-22 from the Enlightened Prisoner)

Sunday, July 17, 2022

Group doorbells homes across Washington, searching for illegal voters, and drawing complaints and on 6-29-22 the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

This non-official group of MAGA misfits, unable to accept what certified numbers have told them, and totally unsuccessful in court challenges are now becoming redesigned neighborhood busy body squads to spread their continuing propaganda message that government is dishonest and can't be trusted. Well, guess what? That's just exactly what this last election was attempting to fix. The trouble is the losing side is apparently slow learners. I know their MAGA boss is.

Monday, June 6, 2022

Man, 4 grandkids killed by Texas fugitive had gone to ranch to fish reported by WAPO, and on 6-6-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

We pause, we feel the remorse, we confront the details, we write our own scripts about what coulda' or shoulda' altered the outcome, then we absorb still another senseless loss of our fellow citizens at the hands of circumstances we feel powerless to have prevented. While other countries observe and think, crazy Americans, why don't they see what too many guns, too many cars, and too many available drugs are doing to them?

Sunday, June 5, 2022

Opinion | Trump’s latest Jan. 6 scam poses a hidden challenge to Democrats published on 64-22, and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

Any attempt by the Trump MAGA cult to interfere or undermine the Public Hearings of the House Committee on the January 6th matter is little but additional proof for their fear of public disclosure and accountability.

Their total obstinate and uncooperative performance with this legally empowered hearing's invitation to participate is a national disgrace. These are established facts and evidence the Committee has bought together as a public service and the MAGA cult's claims of partisanship is mere hyperbole.

Their talk and plan to create diversion or self-serving opinions which will undoubtably lack fact or evidence deserves our upmost disrespect for it represents naught but a cover for the dirty hands of their guilt.

Tuesday, May 31, 2022

Opinion | Garland’s mushy speech to Harvard grads does not inspire confidence, a WAPO editorial of 5-11-22, and on that date the Enlighten Prisoner commented thus:

In September 1983, James Q. Wilson, a Political Scientist wrote the book, "Thinking About Crime". His summary paragraph at the end still provides one of the best lessons we have yet to learn.

Justice suffers, and so do we all!"

Monday, May 30, 2022

Group doorbells homes across Washington, searching for illegal voters, and drawing complaints reported by the Seattle Times, and on 5-30-22, the Enlightened Prisoner commented thus:

This non-official group of MAGA misfits, unable to accept what certified numbers have told them, and totally unsuccessful in court challenges are now becoming redesigned neighborhood busy body squads to spread their continuing propaganda message that government is dishonest and can't be trusted. Well, guess what? That's just exactly what this last election was attempting to fix. The trouble is the losing side is apparently slow learners. I know their MAGA boss is.
