Actually, a Congressional committee looking into anything is a waste of time and offers little but a platform to serve an elected official's agenda.  The January 6th Insurrection is criminal activity in its worst form.  Let's keep the pressure on those investigative agencies presenting evidence for indictments and let the (now honest and competent) Justice Department report to Congress what laws were broken and what stronger legislation is needed to prevent future assaults on our Democracy.

And for god's sake, let those investigative agencies draw the necessary conclusions to hold Trump accountable for his contributions to that Insurrection and justify appropriate indictments.

His criminal intents on creating this mess is the elephant in the room that the Republican party ignores but the majority of the electorate endorses.  (Enlightened Prisoner Comment of 5-22-21)

Liberty and justice for all.  Remember the words folks?  It's what this nation used for its justification.

But now it's being treated as an inconvenience, an interference that obstructs the politically ambitious power seekers from their continuance.  It's become the shame of our nation and we've done little but let our lawmakers and law enforcers off with a tsk-tsk.  Sad.

Has much thought's been given to the unsettled mood of the country being a factor?  There's a lot of mean-spirited frustrated Trump-aligned people out there that are contributing to a sense of threating behavior in the work place.  These are the same narrow-minded types that find it easier to obfuscate what amounts to progress and treat every situation as a reason to find hate for those they consider "them".  Why would you expose yourself to that day after day?

Apparently the professional world of newscasting is unregulated.  I understand there's a Journalistic Code of Ethics somewhere but, it's apparent there's also no enforcement when the tenants of professional conduct are violated.

Probably the most serious conduct that's being violated daily is how media personalities on display for profit will curry favor with obnoxious personalities to gain obsequious advantage over competitors.

A favor that also reflects on the obnoxious person granting that favor.  This conduct alone is enough to question the rights we afford journalists in our Constituted pledge of non-interference with the "free" press.

But that's the problem isn't it?  When does pay for news become a foil for the transgression into news that's scripted and edited for content instead of impartial reporting?  Where does it say that accusing all other news sources as "liberal" gave conservative news sources the right to treat what they don't like to hear as "fake news"?

I believe the world of news reporting in this country is in need of the same "reform" attention we're giving the policing  profession.  (An Enlightened Prisoner comment offered on 5-3-21)

Complicity in Insurrection.  Certain Republicans wear that label and deserve the disrespect that goes with it.  To thoughtlessly ascribe their name to a disregard for the words and values of our Constitution and deface their responsibilities as members of the People's House in support of the proven lie is disgraceful.  (An Enlightened Prisoner Comment offered on 5-2-21)

Senator Warren has paid her dues and deserves our respect for her opinions and for her efforts as a statesperson of our internal affairs.  Her proposals are not that radical and her continued compassion for American's working class exceeds anything offered by the opposing party for sure, and her own party's leadership for certain.

She is, an American of true mettle.   (Enlightened Prisoner comment 5-1-21)
